Where is my watermark applied?
In your own browser. The text is drawn onto a canvas copy of your image with JavaScript — no upload happens at any point. Files never leave your browser.
Which positions can I pick?
Nine of them: the four corners, the middle of each edge, and dead center. There is also a tile mode that repeats the text across the whole picture like graph paper — popular for "proof" or "sample" watermarks.
How do I make the watermark subtle?
Drop the opacity to 25–40% and use white or a light gray. On dark photos, dark gray at low opacity works better than white.
What size should the text be?
A good starting point is roughly 1/20th of the image width in pixels — a 2000 px wide photo takes about a 100 px watermark. You can dial anything from 6 to 512 px.
Does the output keep transparency?
Yes — the source alpha channel is untouched and the output is a lossless PNG. The watermark itself is fully opaque in the areas where it is drawn (subject to your opacity setting).
