Bold Text Generator

Turn plain text into bold Unicode characters (๐—น๐—ถ๐—ธ๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐˜€) that survive copy-paste into bios, captions and chat apps โ€” no styling, just characters.

Letters Aโ€“Z, aโ€“z and digits 0โ€“9 are converted; everything else is kept as-is.

How to use

  1. Type or paste your text into the top box.
  2. The bold version appears below instantly.
  3. Hit Copy result and paste it wherever plain text is accepted.

Frequently asked questions

Is this real bold formatting?

Not exactly. The tool maps your letters to the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block of Unicode (U+1D400 onwards), which are dedicated bold-looking characters. They display as bold text anywhere plain text is accepted, but they are not the same as pressing a bold button in a word processor.

Where can I paste bold Unicode text?

Anywhere that accepts plain text: social media bios and posts, chat apps, email subjects, profile names and comment boxes. Rich-text editors that only toggle styling on normal letters will ignore the effect โ€” the letters stay bold-looking regardless.

Why do numbers also turn bold?

Unicode defines a full bold digit range (U+1D7CEโ€“U+1D7D7), so 0โ€“9 are covered as well as letters. Punctuation, emoji and accented characters have no bold equivalents, so they pass through unchanged.

Does bold Unicode hurt accessibility?

It can. Screen readers often spell these characters letter by letter or skip them, and search engines may treat them as symbols rather than words. Use bold Unicode for short decorative lines, not for paragraphs that people or search engines need to read.

Why does my bold text look different on a friend's phone?

The bold-looking glyphs come from fonts installed on each device. If a font lacks the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block, the system substitutes another font or a fallback box, so rendering can vary between platforms.
