How are winners picked?
A partial Fisher–Yates shuffle driven by crypto.getRandomValues: each pick draws from the remaining names with rejection sampling, so every name has an exactly equal chance and no one can win twice in one draw.
Can the same person win twice?
Not in the same draw — winners are removed from the pool as they are picked. Run the draw again to start a fresh round with everyone back in.
What happens if I request more winners than names?
The draw simply returns everyone. Fewer winners than requested is never possible; duplicates are never produced to pad the count.
Are empty lines and duplicate names a problem?
Blank lines are ignored, and duplicate names collapse to one entry so nobody gets extra tickets by pasting twice. If you DO want someone to have extra tickets, list them as “Name #1”, “Name #2” and so on.
Where is the history stored?
In your browser’s local storage only — the last ten draws for your own reference. Clearing site data clears it; nothing is uploaded anywhere.
