Frequently asked questions
Does it only cover the 128 ASCII characters?
The table shows every character you paste, but each row is flagged: characters in the 0–127 ASCII range say "yes", everything else (Chinese, emoji, accented letters) says "no" with its full Unicode code point — so you can see exactly what survives a 7-bit channel and what does not.
How are emoji handled?
Emoji live outside ASCII, so they get their own row with the full code point (😀 = 128512 / U+1F600) rather than being split into surrogate halves — one row per character you see.
What formats does the reverse conversion accept?
Decimal and hexadecimal together, in any mix: "65 0x42, 67" becomes ABC. Separate values with spaces, commas or new lines.
Why copy as a table?
The copy button produces tab-separated rows (character, decimal, hex) that paste cleanly into a spreadsheet or code editor — handy for building lookup tables.
Does typing send my text to a server?
No. The table is built in your browser as you type; nothing is uploaded.
