How to use

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between crop and pad mode?
Crop mode (cover) scales the image so it completely fills the target ratio and trims away whatever sticks out — nothing is added. Pad mode (contain) fits the whole image inside the target ratio and fills the rest with transparent pixels, so nothing is lost.
Which output size do I get?
The tool keeps your larger dimension: a 1920×1080 photo forced to 1:1 becomes 1080×1080. That way you never upscale beyond the pixels you already have.
Why is the output always a PNG?
Pad mode produces transparent margins, and PNG is the format that preserves them losslessly. If you need JPEG, run the result through the Image Format Converter — it will flatten transparency onto white.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs on the canvas inside your own tab. Files never leave your browser — you can even use the tool offline.
Can I type a custom ratio?
Yes — pick Custom and enter any positive numbers, like 21:9 for ultrawide banners or 4:5 for Instagram portrait posts. Decimals work too.
